RIP SFU

I am a big fan of the HBO series, Six Feet Under. The show came to a close yesterday with the best ending I think, of anything I have seen on television. What I loved about the show is that all the characters were beautifully flawed and even after they die, they left unfinished business. Just like real life. I suppose the entire point of the show can be summed up when one of the characters, the recently departed Nate Fisher, says “I’m just saying you only get one life. There’s no God, no rules, no judgments except for those you accept or create for yourself." Goodbye SFU, I will miss you.

I took a picture of this gravestone in Boston Feb 2004

yep, show went out on top! some things caught my eye:
- the house looked "spectacular" when keith & david moved in -- secretly, i wished it was "fabulous" ;). & it was cool that the biz returned to "fisher & sons"
- in that final dinner scene, they were drinking ravenswood zin & fonseca port.
- rico kinda turns into a jerk in the end. but hey, it's business.
- ted's derriere. cute.
- claire drives off in a prius. cute.
- ruth actually does the doggie day care. cute.
- claire lives until 102!

Man. I saw the first few episodes of that show and never really got into it. Now it seems like I missed out. I hate when that happens!
